Jason is a professional wedding officiant specializing in creating custom wedding ceremonies that are guaranteed to be modern, fun and memorable for both the couple and their guests. His professional background in corporate training, public speaking and engaging audiences of all sizes translates to the writing and delivery of wedding ceremonies that have guests emotionally involved every step of the way.
Jason is a proud member of the International Association of Professional Wedding Officiants and takes professional development in the industry quite seriously. He is the only officiant in the area trained and certified by famed Canadian officiant Mark Allan Groleau as an “Un!Boring Wedding Pro” - completing 10 weeks of specialized training including a detailed creative process that produces the most memorable, personal ceremonies that will have you saying “this was the best wedding ever!”.
Jason was also the area’s first certified LGBTQ wedding expert and officiant trained and certified by the Equality Institute in the nuances and details especially relevant to LGBT+ weddings and ceremonies. This intensive training includes LGBTQ wedding trends and traditions, language, laws, policies and much more. Jason shares, “It is especially important to me to be an officiant that is known for inclusion. I simply focus on celebrating the love between two people as we set on a mission together of creating a wedding ceremony that is modern, fun and memorable and 100% theirs. At the end of the day, I am excited to be a resource and coach for my couples and aim to help ensure their big day is stress free”.
In his “spare time”, Jason founded two community non-profits, serves on the local school board, and owns an automotive customization shop. Jason lives in Wilmington, DE with his wonderful wife, Kathy and their two kids Chase & Payton (plus 2 dogs, 3 cats and a guinea pig…).
