Rev. Leigh

Rev. Leigh Finnegan-Hosey (She/Her) is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary and ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Leigh currently serves as a Chaplain at VCU health in Richmond, VA, having previously worked in chaplaincy at Georgetown University and Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, and Vidant Medical Center in Eastern North Carolina. Outside of her work as a chaplain, Leigh has shared in a variety of ministry settings dedicated to the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of persons of every and no faith.

Rev. Leigh began officiating weddings at the request of friends and soon fell in love with role of celebrating and confirming a couple’s commitment to one another. As a hospital Chaplain, Leigh is honored to witness some of most significant moments in people’s lives. Serving as a wedding officiant feels like a natural continuation of this sacred responsibility, one that is as much a blessing for her as it is for the couple themselves.

In Leigh, you will discover a creative, compassionate, and competent officiant; one who can help you craft a ceremony that truly reflects our unique love story. She will joyfully preside over the union of interfaith, non-religious/secular, and LGBTIA couples.

Outside of her professional life, Leigh enjoys searching for good food, going on long hikes, swing dancing with her husband David, and playing with her human child Laila and fur baby Penny Lane.
